Just bumped into an old childhood friend that I haven’t spoken to in years, and….we actually had a really good conversation. we’re gonna hang out in a few weeks to paint nails. It’s funny how time heals wounds, sometimes.

once upon a time like 13 or 14 year old Elisa was super duper obsessed with POTC, and wrote a fic that was like tWENTY PAGES LONG WITH NO REAL PLOT about a character named Isabella who was 16 years old and was a barmaid in Tortuga.

She was a bad-ass self-insert and her simple life was totally interrupted when her father, who was her only family (and maybe he was a blacksmith? i dont remember. chef? idk) was killed in the middle of the night by pirates, and at the funeral she was visited by William Turner who was like, “HEY I BASICALLY TRAVEL THE 7 SEAS WITH MY WIFE ELIZABETH AND OUR BFF JACK SPARROW AND JACK REALLY WANTS TO SEE YOU SO COME WITH ME PLS”

And Isabella was like, “um no???” and Will was like, “listen im super charming and you dont have much going on here and im inviting you to a world of adventure sooooo” and isabella was like “yea ok that makes sense LETS GO”

and basically her mom, who she never met, was a super famous pirate that died a few years after Isabella was born and had saved Jack’s life once so he owed her dead ass a debt so he took it upon himself to watch out for Isabella or something?????? and the only thing she had from her mother was an emerald necklace that Jack said was special and had something to do with her fathers death??????

But I honestly I had NO REAL PLOT beyond she was looking for her father’s murderers and Jack knew everything but wasn’t telling and she was a badass Spanish pirate and we can’t see ANY of this because it all went down with the Great Virus of ‘08 and it makes me sad cos I wanna re-read it and try to figure out wtf was wrong with me.
